Operations Manager roles are something you won't see every day.
They are a luxury commodity for care home operators able to afford them.
Don't get me wrong, they are out there, they can just be very hard to find.
Well, I have news, you may have just uncovered a gem.
This company have an Operations Director who waxed lyrically about the family run company he is currently working for and has done so for a number of years.
Husband and wife duo currently own seven, small and perfectly formed residential homes with 'Good' CQC reports across the board, with a sprinkling of 'Outstanding'.
Ambitious, they have recently added two new services to their portfolio and aren't stopping there. Their plan is to continue purchasing and opening a new service every 12 months hereafter.
Now, as they are continuing to grow, they understand the importance of not letting their high standards drop. They are becoming more corporate due to their size, but don't want to lose that family feel they have worked so hard to create.
The homes are not purpose built, but instead comprise of a mixture of grade 2 listed buildings and Victorian houses. There is real heritage here, these are lovely places to live and work.
The Operations Manager role will be a key appointment for them. As they grow, they want to be able to support all their managers in the everyday running of the homes, their security blanket if you were.
You will work directly with the Directors and Operational Teams to continually improve the quality assurance offering, whilst supporting the selection and successful recruitment of their respective Registered Managers / Deputy Managers, ensuring that they maintain the highest quality standards across the organisation.
You will enjoy visiting all the homes across the portfolio, completing audits and mock CQC inspections, delivering management forums, ensuring everyone is up to date with training and recent changes in legislation.
What experience do you need to be considered for a Operations Manager role I hear you ask?
If you are a confident Care Home Manager with your level 5 in Leadership and Management and are looking for your next step, this could be it.
If you have already gained multi-site management experience and are looking for a new challenge within a company that has big ambitions, but that is growing organically, look no further.
This is a rare opportunity that comes with a salary of up to £42k+ including your very own company car and travel expenses as well as 28 days annual leave.
