Are you a Home Manager or Deputy Manager living within commuting distance of Wells in Somerset?

Perhaps you are an experienced nurse with management pedigree.

Here you will have firm foundations to succeed. The home is currently rated 'Good' in all areas. It comprises of a committed staff team, most of which have been working there for a number of years.

Part of a small portfolio, but with extraordinary support. They have an experienced Operations Manager we have known for a long time, a hands on Managing Director, a Recruitment Officer and their very own Head Office team.

This particular home is rather stunning and we are also told has some cracking residential residents.

Large in size, long established and with a great reputation in the area, the home fills itself and always has a waiting list.

With a competitive salary of up to £70k on offer, with a performance related bonus and additional benefits, the stage is set for your to realise your 'Outstanding.'

Requirements for this position

Essential: Registered Nurse with an active PIN number Relevant professional qualification (e.g. NVQ/RMA/Diploma minimum level 5). Previous management experience within a nursing and/or residential environment Excellent written and oral communication skills including IT skills Good knowledge of CQC Fundamental Standards and NMC Code of Conduct Awareness of the principles of Person Centered Care. Proven ability to lead, supervise and manage a team of staff. Evidence that knowledge and skills are up to date and in line with current professional development Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure Excellent communication skills with residents, families, stakeholders and other relevant bodies Good level of commercial knowledge Desired: Experience in delivering internal training for staff members A sound grasp of business and operational management within a large organisation End of Life care knowledge and care giving Minimum of three years experience in a nursing care home setting. This position is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
