Cider loving Nursing Home Manager's, how are you?

Curious about your options? Good.

Your options have suddenly got a lot better. Potentially £60k pa better, but it's not just about the money is it?

Let me tell you a story. Recently we worked on a Managing Director position. The first round of informal interviews went well. The bosses, a high flying financier and his trusted advisors whittled the shortlist down to 3 and then they asked me. "What questions do you think we should ask in our second interview?"

After a bit of thought I suggested we pose the candidates a bit of a puzzler… "Which is more important to the success of a care business, care quality or money/financial security and why?" What followed was an incredibly interesting set of final interviews.

One of the candidates said care. Care, care, care! Get care right and everything else fits in to place, care supports your marketing, care is what your reputation is built on, care is what CQC and other stakeholders demand.

The second candidate went in and said money. Money, money, money. You can't have good care if you can't afford the staff or to create, develop and maintain the environment, to purchase all the resources you need etc. If your business isn't financially successful then the wheels fall off and you can't give good care.

Then came a bit of magic. The third candidate stepped up. The presentation they'd prepared amounted to a few scrappy bits of paper, you'd be forgiven for being concerned about their chances but they cut straight through our little paradox and spoke the truth.

They said that you can't have one without the other.

Can you guess who got the job?

So that's it. All good care home operators are striving to find and prepared to pay big bucks for great Home Managers.

Great Home Managers recognise you can't have good care without a sound financial footing and vice versa. If you are a Home Manager who recognises this and knows how to achieve both, then we want to hear from you.

So what's cider got to do with all this?

I'm glad you asked. One of these £70k + Home Management opportunities exists in Dorset. It's a beautiful part of the world. The home sits firmly in the upper middle market.

Also the Manager's aren't the only members of staff to be well looked after, as with some businesses. Your nurses are paid handsomely and all staff enjoy (truly) industry leading benefits. I shizzle you not.

Dorset isn't the only place we are looking. Similar opportunities exist in Gloucester, Wiltshire and the Bristol area.

Basically, if you are a proven home manager with a Good or Outstanding rating then call us. Perhaps you are a Regional or Operations Manager and you're ready to come off the road. Call us! Heck you could even be a blindingly good Deputy of a big home who has managed in the past. CALL US.

With a bit of work we will be sipping scrumpy together lickety-split.
