How would you paint the perfect Nursing Home Manager?
Say you have a blank canvas in front of you now, for example a recently refurbished service in a desirable location in Sheffield.
The directors have invested £££'s in creating a tasteful, modern refurbishment and they have given you the keys.
Not only that, but they have filled the home with staff for you, have a Clinical Lead with supernumerary hours to focus on audits and enviable support in a central HR Team and Finance Controller.
What about the residents?
Well they have their own onsite restaurant, cafe, salon, cinema room and activities and garden room to name just a few.
Need a little more?
If I were to tell you this is part a well established, medium sized opretor with big ambitions to double in size in the coming years.
They believe in a collaborative approach, giving their managers autonomy and are making further investment in their infrastructure.
They understand Home Management is tough, that's why they are looking to offer a competitive salary for between £55,000 to £60,000.
They are one of very few employers who have given all thier staff a 0.5% pay inccrease to thank them for working throughtout the pandemic. It is the little things that make this employer special.
OK so now I have set the scene, the question still remains, what would this perfect Nursing Home Manager look like? What would they be like?
I ask you to give me a call and paint me your picture. I'll start you off:
