Head of Housekeeping - 12 month Maternity Cover

You will be working for a supportive and friendly family-run Company. This position is a 40 hour working week with onsite parking, Free Staff Meals and Uniform Provided. Offering Flexible shifts and alternating weekends.

Reporting to the Home Manager, as Head of Housekeeping you will manage and lead a housekeeping team of 4, to provide an efficient and effective housekeeping service to ensure that the interior of the home is clean, tidy and maintained to the highest standard. The role also includes laundering of resident's clothes, towels and linen.

You must share their values and have the desire to provide the residents with first-class care that goes above and beyond expectations. The best candidates are those who are dedicated, compassionate and energetic and will put the needs and well-being of our residents above all else.

You will undertake management responsibilities relating to the housekeeping team, including but not limited to:

- Producing housekeeping rotas.

- Managing any absence within the housekeeping team

- Ensuring all housekeeping staff are compliant and up to date with mandatory training requirements.

You will ensure regular cleaning audits are undertaken and work with the Home Manager to ensure action plans are adhered to.
You must understand and comply with all statutory and legal requirements ( such as Health & Safety, COSHH, and all aspects of the Health & Social Care Act)
You will take responsibility for keeping COSHH records accurate and up to date.
You will be infection control lead for the home, taking responsibility for maintaining Company standards in relation to infection control, cleanliness and the use of PPE.
You will liaise with external contractors.
You will take responsibility for managing stock and the ordering of housekeeping materials - You will be working with the Home Manager and Finance department, to ensure that housekeeping budgets are maintained
Opportunity for career progression by training and development for each individual.

Experience in a supervisory housekeeping role within a care home setting is preferred, although you will receive full training and induction.
