Registered Care Manager

Calne, Wiltshire

£32,000 - £35,000 depending on experience

Recruitment Panda are excited to be working with this Domiciliary Care Provider, they have been in existence for two years, and have grown to 600 hours over this time. This organisation is working well with a strong supportive and effective back office, but needs a dedicated leader now, who can register with the CQC.

Your life as a Registered Manager

As their Registered Manager, you will be someone with a real passion for care, be an inspirational leader and you will be essential to the successful running of the service and helping it grow to exciting new levels. You will be a true leader of people, someone who can inspire a care team and someone who mirrors the company's values and ethos.

What you'll do

  • To provide leadership to the administration, care staff and people management functions of this CQC GOOD rated homecare provider
  • Marketing the Service and selling its services at the agreed prices
  • Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of those individuals they support
  • Recruitment of staff - when required
  • Induct new starters in accordance with our guiding and suppportive policy's
  • Lead, motivate and direct staff
  • Conduct staff supervision and annual staff appraisals for all heads of department
  • Develop staff to full potential ensuring succession planning for the service.
  • Build the service from 600 hours to 900 hours
  • All calls are minimum 30 minutes
  • Travel Expenses paid to Carers at 45p a mile
  • Staf Retention - really good, Carers paid from £10 -£13 an hour

Who we are looking for

  • You will hold a Diploma Level 5 in Health & Social Care or willing to enroll on it
  • Hold a full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
  • Have a proven track record in Domiciliary Care Management (Homecare).
  • Have excellent knowledge of CQC regulations and Standards.
  • Experience of leading a team
  • Managing budgets
  • Experience of working with service users, in particular who have additional support needs

Requirements for this position

Experience / Knowledge Relevant management experience in care services Relevant experience of management and leadership and supporting others to achieve A thorough understanding of the Care Act, CQC's Essential Standards and other relevant standards Thorough understanding of the regulatory responsibilities and the law relating to domiciliary care services. An understanding of the uniqueness of providing a tailored home care service Excellent understanding of the needs of people who require care and support and the provision of care services in line with best practice Excellent understanding of the principles of high quality person centred care and support and non-discriminatory care practice Experience working with external personnel responsible for compliance and standards Understanding of systems to maintain confidentiality in relation to residents, staff and the business Knowledge of health and safety matters in relation to care services and risk management Knowledge of how to recognise abuse and safeguarding procedures Experience of auditing, reporting and developing action plans Experience of managing and developing an effective staff team including recruitment, training, supporting and supervising staff
